Welcome Back

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and a terrific break.

This semester the art gallery will host a number of terrific shows.

The kick off begins with a reception on January 19 @ 6pm with the faculty exhibit Jim Pauls – A Retrospective.

Vessels from the Past, curated by Dr. Sara Orel will be in the side gallery and features ancient Egyptian pottery on loan from the Royal Ontario Museum.

In March the gallery will host the Annual Juried Student Exhibit and an exhibition featuring faculty work from Indian Hills Community College.

During April and May the yearly BA/BFA and BFA Visual Communication thesis and portfolio reviews will be on display.

A bit later in the week I will post some more info on Professor Pauls exhibit and more details on the Egyptian pottery exhibition.

Oh and a heads up for all of you senior BA/BFA students – send me pictures and statements about your work. (even work in progress) I would like to have a lot to talk about when the time comes for the exhibits. mrk040@truman.edu

Enjoy your first few days, get settled and check the site often. I will do my best to have lots of new and interesting stuff posted.
