Citizens Day at the Legislature

The Missouri Citizens for the Arts has its annual lobbying day in Jeff City (called Citizens Day at the Legislature) on Weds. Feb 10.

Do you want to go? Aaron Fine and Wynne Wilbur have taken some graduate MAE students down there in the past; it is a very cool, easy and energizing to go. You get a briefing on the state of the arts in Missouri and then go meet with legislators and urge them to support the arts.

This year Aaron has teaching obligations he can’t get out of, but offered to use some funds at his disposal to pay for gas for one car, lunch for up to 4 people, and registration for one person (everyone doesn’t need to register, if you go as a group you can all use the packet materials given to the registered one).

If any of you are interested contact me, mrk040@truman.edu. I am not sure if I am going to be able to go but will be able to put you in touch with anyone who can.
